Michael & Julia grew up in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, and came to Immanuel in 2019 after pastoring 9 years in Perth-Andover New Brunswick. Michael is a graduate of StFX University (BA) and Acadia Divinity College (MDiv).
Michael’s a film buff, Survivor superfan, a multi-instrumentalist, a lover of great music, an avid listener of podcasts and audiobooks, and a gifted communicator. He’s a father of five and is very happy to spend time hanging out with his wife and kids. Michael loves Jesus and the local church, and wants the local church to be more like Jesus.

Chad gave his life to Christ at 26 following an encounter with the Holy Spirit. He grew up outside Charlottetown PEI next to the family farm. He loves coffee, rock n roll, listening to podcasts, reading Star Wars books, loves driving his Dads Harley, following sports and a good nap. His favourite author is Jill Williamson, a Christian fantasy writer.
In 2025, Chad, Sarah an their four children moved to Truro after ministering in Morristown for 14 years. Chad is a 2 time graduate of Acadia Divinity College.
Chad loves to hear of how others are encountering God and desires that each person knows how deeply Gods love and mercy is for them. He believes that the practices of the ancient church are especially relevant today to anchor us deeply in God’s presence.

(INTERIM) Youth Ministry Director

Hannah currently serves as the Interim Youth Ministry Director, where she is passionate about helping students grow in their faith, ask meaningful questions, and discover who God has created them to be. She previously served at Immanuel as Associate Pastor of Missions and Next Gen Ministries before stepping into a denominational role with Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC) in the Youth and Family Department.
Hannah has a heart for missions and has led and participated in trips across Central America and beyond. She is deeply encouraged by seeing how God is at work in every culture and community.
She loves a good cup of coffee, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her kids and students—whether at youth group, on a trip, or over a casual conversation. Hannah feels incredibly grateful to walk alongside young people as they explore faith and life together.

Andrea Dykeman
Worship Director
Andrea was born in Truro. She worked for many years in a corporate career, but now serves part time at Immanuel while working alongside her husband at their local print and sign business. Genuine musical expression runs deep in her bones.
Volunteering at Immanuel for many years prior, she stepped into the role of Worship Director in 2021.
Andrea loves working with the many volunteers and seeing them use their talents and grow in their giftings to bring glory to God. She loves to see the church respond to the Holy Spirit as they engage in Christ centred worship.
