He’s a father of five and is very happy to spend time hanging out with his wife and kids. Michael loves Jesus and the local church, and wants the local church to be more like Jesus.

Hannah Marriott

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF MISSIONS AND NEXT GEN MINISTRIES

Email: hannah@immanueltruro.org

Hannah was born in Newfoundland, but has also lived in Ontario and Manitoba, then later settled in Nova Scotia. She began attending church as a child, and soon after clung to the promise that Jesus was her friend forever. She has been volunteering at her church and in her community since her teenage years and later felt called to pursuit a degree in Biblical studies. Hannah and her family began attending Immanuel in 2014. In 2018 she took on the position of Children's Ministry Coordinator, and in November 2019 accepted the call to become the NextGen Pastor, ministering with a focus on kids & youth.

She is a wife and mom, loves to travel and desires to experience life in other countries. She loves coffee (perhaps to an unhealthy degree) and Christmas movies (also probably to an unhealthy degree). Hannah finds that reading for pleasure is a hobby she'd like to adopt - wrapped up in a blanket and wearing fuzzy reading socks while curled up on the couch. However, in reality she doesn't like reading. But does end each evening curled up on the couch with her husband to watch Netflix.

Her philosophy on the purpose of life can be summed up in one word...Love. God loves all people unconditionally, and so should we love Him and others. Jesus was the best example of how to do this well, which is why Hannah continues to study God's word and Jesus' life.

Peter has been married 30+ years, and has a handsome son, Alex, and two beautiful daughters – Jessica & Rebecca. All three children have left Peter & Lori ‘empty nesters’. He enjoys spending time outside working around his property, playing Sudoku, and watching a few Netflix series with Lori.

Peter loves being of service to his Lord by helping out with various church events, and of course, being the ‘Mr. Clean’ for Immanuel.

Andrea Dykeman

Worship Director

Andrea was born and grew up in Truro. She and her husband Ted have lived in Truro most of their lives, with a few years living in Halifax. Andrea & Ted also own a local business in town. They have a son, Evan, currently attending NSCC, as well as a daughter Alyssa, who is married to Glenn Rowe who live in Moncton NB. Andrea grew up a country girl loving nature, animals, music, riding horses and getting dirty. She loves her family and loves when they can all experience down time together (which sadly is rarer than they would like).

Andrea has been involved in music and worship for as long as she can remember. From a very young age, she was singing. She later discovered that expressing her love for Jesus through music was a deep form of surrender. She has no formal training in music, but has a deep appreciation for all styles and expressions and has made life her training ground.

Andrea took on the role of Worship Director in a more official capacity in 2021, but had been doing it unofficially and strictly on a volunteer basis for many years. She loves working with the wide variety of team members and ability levels. The collaboration brings people closer to feet of Jesus each Sunday.

“Worship expands my gratitude and sense of wonder of who God is. It allows me to be vulnerable and express my heart while inviting others to join me.”
