2019 Jamaica Youth Mission Trip
In 2019, a team of 24 teens and five leaders from Immanuel Truro spent a week serving in the rural, mountainous community of Catadupa, Jamaica. Partnering with a local church, we helped lay the foundation for a cement multi-sport surface, giving local children a safe place to play despite the steep terrain. Our team moved thousands of pounds of rock by hand to prepare the site! In addition to the hard work, we led a children’s camp, worshiped with a local church, explored a local market, toured a coffee plantation, and even cooled off in a breathtaking waterfall. Most of all, we built meaningful relationships and were inspired by the warmth and resilience of the people we met.
