 Sept. 5th our worship times will be at 9:00 and 10:30 am. Starting NEXT WEEK, Sunday, Sept. 12th our worship times will be at 9:15 and 11:00 am.
Sept. 7th from 7 - 8 pm there will be a Parents of Youth Meeting. All parents of kids involved in Youth programs here at Immanuel are encouraged to attend.
Ladies Morning Out begins Sept. 7th at 9:30 am in the Overflow. All are welcome! Childcare provided.
Plan to come out. Leave the laundry, the incessant tidying up, the bills to be paid, and come take a break for 2 hours. It’ll all be there when you get home (sigh) but you may actually enjoy doing it once you’ve recharged your batteries.
Sept. 7th from 7 - 8 pm - Discovery Park training night - for those who will be working in Discovery Park this fall.

OPEN HOUSE - Ladies Wed. AM Bible StudyIf you want to connect with God's family, grow to be like Christ and develop your gifts to serve others, we'd love to meet you at our Open House on Wed., Sept 8th form 10 - 11 am in the church overflow. We meet every Wed. morning from 9:30 - 11:30 am. Christian Women's Club - Continental Breakfast - Thursday, Sept. 9th, 9:30 am at the Bible Hill Fire Hall. Speakers include Kim Langille from Healthy Habits Health Store "How to Adopt Healthy Food Choices" and Shirley McNally will share with us how to "Face Change with Optimism". Sunday, Sept. 12 - Nuttby Baptist Church will be have their Anniversary Service. Guest Speaker: Rev. Frank Locke. Special music by Tammy Giffin. Fellowship following the service.
All men are invited to breakfast at Smitty's on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month at 8:30 am. Come for a time of fellowship and bring a friend.
TRUTH PROJECT - a 12 week small group seminar by Focus on the Family. Facilitated by George Gasek. Starts Sunday, Sept. 19th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the sanctuary.The 12 sessions discuss in detail God's design for living out the Christian worldview in daily life, and how vital it is to sync our actions to our core beliefs. Please refer to the Small Groups Ministry bulletin board in back hall to get further details and to sign up.

CAPTIVATING - Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by John & Stasi Eldredge. Facilitator: Kelly Walsh. The orientation meeting will be held at Kelly's home on Monday, Sept. 20th from 7 - 9 pm.  David Mainse will be here at Immanuel on Sept. 23, 2010 as one leg of his "Thank You Canada Tour". All pastors and people from the community can come hear David share his heart for God and Canada and pray for and encourage the Truro community. The Town Hall style meeting will take place between 7:30 and 9:00 pm in the sanctuary. Everyone is welcome!
 BABY SHOWER - Come and celebrate the upcoming birth of Baby Skafte at a baby shower for Shannon and David. Sunday, Sept. 12th at 6:00 pm in the Overflow. PS - It's a boy!
Camp Pagweak Supporter's Picnic - Sat. Sept. 25 from 1-4 pm. Hot dogs, hamburgers, corn and music! Bring your lawn chair and a pie or cake or other food item for the Silent Auction. A love offering will be taken for the camp.

Fall Feeding Frenzy - Sunday, September 26 at Stewiacke Baptist Church, presented by the Colchester-Pictou Baptist Association. The Frenzy will feature workshops, fellowship, dinner and a big closing worship service. More details to come.
 Jody Linkletter would like to sincerely thank the family of Immanuel for their generous financial support for her Africa mission trip. All of the funding for the mission has been raised - in only 4 weeks! Please continue to pray for Jody and the team as they prepare to travel from November 10 to 24.
The Third Wave Cobequid New Horizons Band will be starting with an information and instrument demonstration session on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 4:30 pm at the Truro Concert Band Room behind the Library. This band is for people who have never played before. Contact Paul Barrett at
