Welcome! The deacons of Immanuel Baptist Church appreciate your visit to this web-site. We invite you to worship with us on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. for Contemporary Worship or at 11:00 a.m. for a more "Traditional" worship experience. Whether you are a visitor or a long-time member or anywhere in between, we hope you find a welcome, a sense of belonging, and an awareness of the presence and activity of God at Immanuel. The word "deacon" basically means a servant. This position or office has been part of the church since the earliest days; the Greek word for deacon occurred about 30 times in the original manuscripts of the New Testament. (Some churches use the word elder instead of deacon.) To find your Deacon, refer to table below and use the first letter of your last name as a reference: Lorne Crozier A - E Sheila Clyke F - L Doug McLeod M - Me Bob Shaw Mi - Ri Stephen Yorke Ro - S Ingrid Taylor T - Z
