World of Wonder (WOW.) is a place where parents can leave their pre-school children with responsible adults and teens, which enjoy interacting and playing with children. Teaching children on their level about the love of Jesus, and how God wants to have a relationship with them. It is a secure area (pagers and security desk), bright and welcoming. We strive to make the area a place that parents can leave their children, knowing that they are well cared for, and loved. We have two areas for the children. Ages 0-2 play and enjoy snacks in our nursery; children ages 3 and 4 experiences more teaching and activity specific to their ages. There is a nursing mothers room for privacy and comfort, as well as a separate room for any sleeping children.
IBC's ministry to elementary-aged students is Discovery Park. Many dedicated and loving teachers are here each week to help your kids grow into kids that love Christ and show love to their families and friends.
On Sundays at 9:45 they are divided into groups which rotate through 3 stations: a worship center where the Bible story is taught, creative room where they work with their hands, and a medium- to high-activity station which reinforces the Bible story. At 10:45 they are led by our teenagers in lively worship songs. This is an easy transition time for those who need to leave or for those who are just arriving. At 11:00 there is a large group time for all the children which may involve drama, games, video or puppets to teach the Bible story. At 11:25 the children are released to a small group according to grade level. A snack is provided and a teacher provides opportunity to discuss the Bible lesson and build a healthy relationship.
